Ava

These are on here just because I like them!!
Can you tell that Ava is a little camera shy? : )

Just a little update...

We are so glad to say that our pretty water is back today! The third or fourth week we were here the "June grass" set it. It just looks like alot of little bits of algae. If you look back at the pictures from Rob and Holli's visit, the water actually looked like a lake for awhile. The jellyfish have also been really bad the past couple weeks. However, this morning everything is back to normal! We actually even had our first shark sightings today! They were only 20-30 feet away from the shore. They weren't too big though, maybe only 3-4 feet long. Ava also got to see a sea turtle the other day. If you ask her, it was "HUGE".
Everything else is going well for us. We still love it here and the weather is great almost every single day. Life down here is so simple. The people are simple, nice and down to Earth. (Well, the locals anyways!). Hillbilly's I guess! Regardless, we have met some very nice and interesting people. There are alot of local musicians that play in the place I work. Many of them are very talented. One of the guys who plays regularly actually played with Elvis. Pretty cool, eh?
I have also found a new church! It is right on the beach. It's so neat to sit in such a beautiful place that God has created and listen to someone preach His word. It is very short, simple and straight to the point. Plus, I get to go to church barefooted!!
Another cool thing about this area is how many celebrities visit and have homes here. Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo were here the weekend of 4th of July, we drove by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill's house the other day, Sheryl Crow and Brittney Spears have homes here and Paris Hilton (or one of the Hilton's) is building a monstrous house about 3 miles down the beach from us. That's just to name a few. I keep waiting for a Kenny sighting!!!
There are a couple of questions everyone asks us.... #1. Do you have any regrets about moving? - None at all! Only except that we didn't make it here sooner. #2. Do you have sand everywhere. - Yes, everywhere. We have sand in every crack and crevice - including our own!
Well, I hope that everyone back home is doing well. PLEASE don't hesitate to come and visit us!!! Even if it's for a long weekend. We love having company!
Love,
Matt, April and Ava

Grandma and Papaw Beckett's visit

One of the big highlights of this visit was the Hannah Montana 3D special on the Disney Channel. Of course, our house was prepared for it!

Ava and Grandma in the pool.

Can anyone identify this man?

He was on our bathroom floor for several hours.

Ava wanted to use her Hannah 3D glasses as sunglasses for the beach.

Papaw pointing out the dolpins to Ava.

Then came Clay and Kayla

These are pictures from 4th of July on the beach. I felt bad about not taking Ava anywhere to see fireworks but the beach proved to be a MUCH better show. There were hundreds of people on the beach and fireworks as far as we could see!

These are all pictures from our pool olympics.
What can we say - we have to find something to do when we're bored!
Just look at the form everyone displays.

And the Margarita machine comes out!
This was our day of non-stop margaritas and won-tons. Well, it was supposed to be anyways - I kind of slacked off on the won-tons!

Ava decorated Kayla's face with leaves.

Matt and Clay trying to skim board... need I say more?

Monkey see, monkey do

These are pictures from the night we went to my work - Salty Dog's. It's only a 1/2 mile from our house so we walked and needless to say, Matt and Clay came home with a souvenir.

We had an order of crab claws and they all thought it would be funny to put them in my drink. Needless to say, I didn't find them until I was finished.

Rob & Holli's Visit

Rob, Holli, Lizzie and Zeek came to visit us June 23rd-26th.

This is Lizzie with a dead crab she and Ava found. - Yuck!

Matt and Rob's beloved beer ball...
Notice the umbrella was used for the beer ball instead of blocking the blistering sun from the kids.
